What Stops You From Appreciating Others

One's appreciation of pleasure derived from others is ONLY at the level which one appreciates and adores and loves oneself and is self-pleased and self-happy.
In other words, your capacity to enjoy as much pleasure as you can stand begins with your capacity to be self-pleased (notwithstanding a great partner), and of which requires self-acceptance and self-confidence.
One whom has a low threshold for pleasure either denies and sabotages offers of pleasure, or forgoes self-responsibility (and therefore self-authority) via escapism.(ie, such as getting drunk provides)
Eschew escapism and embrace and accept yourself. Your ability to become fantastically independent is derived from your ability to assume responsibility over yourself and THEN you gain authority - RESULTING in autonomy.
